Life takes you on a journey. No matter how slowly you walk, you will always find yourself going somewhere. While you travel, enjoy the sights, stop to see the Great Ball of Twine, listen to the rivers laugh over the rocks as they run toward the ocean, pet your dog, and listen to the birds in the trees.
My life has taken me on quite the journey as well. I love learning and I love teaching. I played school when I was younger, I taught pre-school for nearly a decade, and I homeschooled my son through his elementary years. I earned a Master’s in History in order to teach at the post-secondary level. After a time, I returned to school and am in the process of earning a second Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, including a certificate in traditional education making me highly qualified to teach children with exceptional needs.
Where does a working professional with multiple interests and demands on her time go to become a certified teacher? Western Governor’s University was my choice.
